The Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Allcare and its dentist owner in June of 2011. The lawsuit solely addresses Allcare’s failure to reimburse consumers who paid for appointments or products that they did not get. Allcare filed bankruptcy in November of 2011. It will take some time to get this lawsuit resolved, and the Attorney General’s Office can make no comments or guarantees regarding the outcome of the lawsuit.
Finally, if your complaint involves an inability to get a copy of your records from the dentists listed below, please make that complaint with the Board and we will assist you in getting a copy of your records.
The following information was posted by Allcare in March of 2011. We are reporting it here for your information.
Any and all Allcare Patients: If you are experiencing a dental emergency, you should, at your cost, promptly visit another dentist in your area, go to the emergency room or call 911. You can locate other dentists in your area by referencing your local Yellow Pages or by contacting your county dental society.
Below are the final updates grouped by State and Allcare Office location. As listed, the dental records and work in progress for particular Allcare Offices have been transferred to other dentist/dental practices pursuant to Transfer/Custodial Agreements that Allcare has entered into with those dentists/dental practices. Allcare is pleased to announce that all of its Offices are now covered by a transferee/custodian. Please contact the applicable transferee/custodian listed for information regarding our dental records, any work in progress that may have been stored at the Allcare Office where you were last seen as a patient and options for continuing with your dental care with the transferee/custodian. You are encouraged, but not required, to call and schedule an appointment to continue your dental care with the applicable transferee/custodian identified.
In addition, please note that for patients whose next appointment was to be for the delivery of new crowns, bridges and/or dentures, distribution of as many of those finished cases as possible to the dentists/dental practices listed has begun. Most of the finished cases were already shipped to the dentists/dental practices listed. Any remaining finished cases will be shipped going forward.
